all the stars
that dazzle the night sky
sun and moon
rain and mountains
oceans and valleys
wondrous creatures
that walk the earth
great and small
by your word
they came to be
and they all praise you

you have made us

darkness
shattered connections
we broke the world
because we chose
to be broken inside
we are all looking
for the Garden
searching for identity
for peace and connection
back to our Maker
our Father

a silent night
a shining star
promises fulfilled
the fullness of time
has finally come
wonder has come
counsel has come
a tiny child
filled with power has come
eternity has touched the earth
our Father has come
to mend all that was broken
to find all who are lost
to rescue our wandering souls
and brings us to the Garden
of His forgiveness
and we praise you

who can know
such endless sorrow

such searing pain
there He hangs
our shame He holds
He takes our judgement
and bears all the weight
of what we deserve
