I’m a Wisconsin girl who was raised by an incredible single mother. My mom modeled for me a deep love for Christ and the grit that it takes to do hard things in life. Things weren’t always comfortable or easy for us, but my mom did such an amazing job at providing, loving, and teaching us what it looked like to walk with the Lord.

During my college years, I met a cute guy named Benjy. He grew up in Minooka and his parents helped to build our church to what it is today. I am forever grateful for their ministry; both to my husband in his upbringing and for the way they dedicated their lives to building up the church that has become Mission.

We got married in a whirlwind and life hasn’t slowed down since. Benjy came on staff for Mission Bible Church in 2015 and we have had 3 beautiful children: Grayson, Kinslee and Easton. I wish I could say it’s all been a fairytale, but the truth is, marriage, motherhood and living in this broken world has its challenges. God has used loss, brokenness, depression and isolation in my life, to refine me and teach me more about His character.

(For more on this, check out this podcast, where I talk more about my journey through depression and anxiety.)

As I’ve grown into my role as a wife, mother, friend, and follower of Christ, I’ve come to discover a love for writing, creating, teaching and pouring into the lives of women. I’ve had the distinct honor to lead Bible studies, to use my photography, and to launch this blog; to serve God and the community that He’s placed me in. It is my prayer that this blog space can encourage women in their walk with the Lord and that it’s a place where we can be taught by one another, encourage one another, and worship together.

I’m so glad you’re here.

“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.”
